Representatives of closed industries want sector-specific solutions

Representatives of the industries most affected by the restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic have addressed a petition to the government, calling for the urgent development of comprehensive sectoral solutions. Among other things, they are calling for a 100% waiver of subsidies from the Polish Development Fund (Polski Fundusz Rozwoju, PFR) and the introduction of additional subsidies and compensation for the affected industries.
The signatories of the petition of companies associated in the organization of Employers of Poland include representatives of the following industries: events and meetings, fitness, gastronomy and hospitality.
“The situation of closed industries in connection with the dynamically developing pandemic is worsening day by day, putting these branches of the economy on the brink of survival. For several months now, we have been providing extensive information about the importance of our industries in the national economy and the real threat to their continued operation,” the petition reads.
