Prime Minister announces economic “defensive measures”

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Friday the anti-crisis solutions that the government will offer during the current second wave of the coronavirus in Poland, intended in particular for the industries most affected by epidemic restrictions. “We will survive this time, I believe that these new instruments will be tailored to your needs” – said Mateusz Morawiecki to entrepreneurs.

– The epidemic is forcing us to make huge changes in our daily and economic lives, and these changes are also leading to a decline in economic activity. However, as soon as the pandemic was in retreat, we quickly made up for these spring losses. Until September, the economy was recovering. We have to adjust the financial instruments to help the industries most affected by the emergency brake we have to pull. We are trying to meet them halfway with large programs to protect the economy,” the head of government said at a press conference on Friday.
