The tax relief for robotization was to amount to as much as 50 percent of the eligible costs related to investments. The regulations were to come into force on January 1, 2021, but the government did not manage to pass the bill. However, its approval is only a matter of months.

50% tax relief for entrepreneurs

The tax relief on the purchase of robots, together with the research and development and IP Box reliefs, were intended to improve the innovativeness of the Polish economy. According to Rzeczpospolita, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Development worked together on the introduction of the new tax regulations.

“The relief will primarily cover the purchase of new industrial robots and the software necessary for their operation,” said Jan Sarnowski, Deputy Minister of Finance.
