Entrepreneurs are tightening their belts and spending less on investments

The food industry has tightened its belt. As a result, there has been a decline in spending on new investments. However, there are exceptions.

In the first half of 2018, the sector spent 3.252 billion PLN on new ventures. This is almost 5 percent less than a year earlier, according to data from Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas prepared for DGP. The whole of last year could also be worse in this respect than 2017. If these forecasts are confirmed, 2018 will be the second consecutive year in which investment in the industry has slowed down.
