Capital market: crisis on many fronts

A gigantic fraud, a major scandal, arrests of important managers, companies fleeing the Warsaw Stock Exchange, investor losses. The stock exchange has ceased to fulfill its main function: a place where companies can raise money for development

All these plagues have befallen the domestic market in an exceptional year. At the end of September, the British company FTSE Russell, which calculates the indexes based on which global funds invest money, promoted Poland from the group of emerging markets to the group of highly developed markets. We are the first country from our region to be included in the group of 25 countries, alongside the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Japan.
