Experts predict that inflation in Poland will be the highest in all European Union countries. This year, prices will go up significantly - by an average of 3.6%, which will definitely affect our household budgets.

Inflation in Poland highest in the EU

The European Commission has prepared a forecast which shows that inflation in Poland will be the highest in the entire European Union between 2020 and 2022. This year, prices will jump by 3.6%. Next year, this rate will drop to 2%, but in 2022 it is expected to rise again to 3.1%.

During the corona crisis, the whole of Europe will struggle with galloping inflation, but our country will feel it the most. On average, prices in the European Union will increase by 0.7 percent in 2020, and will exceed the 1 percent mark in the following years.

Slightly smaller increases will be seen in the eurozone. This year, prices will increase by just 0.3 percent, and in the following years by just over 1 percent, notes Polsat News, citing the report.
