5G technology can improve Poland's productivity

The development of 5G technology can improve Poland's productivity by approx. 1 percent of GDP, said Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, on Wednesday, when she participated in the establishment of a 5G development accelerator in Łódź.
“The agreement signed between the Łódź Special Economic Zone (ŁSSE), the Łódź University of Technology, the Office of Electronic Communications and the companies Ericsson and Play establishes a 5G development accelerator in Łódź. The development of 5G technology can - as we estimate - improve Poland's productivity by approx. 1 percent of GDP, i.e. by approx. 4 billion PLN; lead to savings in healthcare and transportation services, among others, and improve the quality of these services,” the minister emphasized during a briefing after signing the agreement.
As she pointed out, the development of 5G technology - i.e. the ability to transmit huge amounts of data securely - is a global trend.
