Activity: From the very beginning, the Świętokrzyski Technology Incubator has focused on providing capital and financial and management know-how necessary for further development to the originators of innovative projects as well as to enterprises. Thanks to the investments made and services provided, strong relationships have been established with investment funds and representatives of the academic and business world, which are used in the implemented projects. The main objective of the incubator is to acquire and support innovative business ventures, starting with the pre-incubation process (assessment of project potential, project feasibility analysis, preparation of a business plan), capital input, as well as providing support in project management.

Background: The incubator was founded in 2008, initially as a venture capital fund called Gekko Capital Management S.A. The experience gained by the company in searching for investment opportunities led to the conclusion that a large and untapped business potential lies in investing in innovative projects whose authors are provided with assistance and funds to commercialize their ideas. This resulted in the transformation of Gekko Capital Management S.A. into Świętokrzyski Inkubator Technologii S.A.

What stage of development does a project have to be in? Originators who are thinking about creating their own innovative enterprise can check the feasibility of their project and examine the market together with the fund to determine whether there is room for their idea.

To achieve this goal, the originator submits their project by filling out an application form, which is then evaluated based on detailed criteria:

• defining the idea,
• determining the key industry of the project,
• identifying the innovation of the idea,
• market assessment of the commercialization possibilities of the idea,
• assessment of the degree of involvement of the originator.

After meeting the above criteria, the scope of cooperation and the preparation of a business model (technological, conceptual and business aspects) are discussed at a possible meeting with the Project Coordinator.

Investment amount: The fund supports projects with an amount of up to PLN 800,000.

1. Arrinera Aerodynamics Sp. z o.o. – A company that produces spoilers that act as aerodynamic brakes.

2. CreoEnergy Sp. z o.o. – The company's business is an innovative solution that enables monitoring of electricity consumption with the possibility of switching devices on and off on a micro-macro scale.

3. CY Gyro Sp. z o.o. – Manufacturer of inertial gyroscopes for motor yachts.

4. Graphene Solutions Sp. z o.o. – An innovative venture aimed at researching niche technological applications utilizing technologies for the dispersion of graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide flakes.

5. HEADBAND Sp. z o.o. – the company designs and markets a personal EEG (electroencephalography) device that collects data on the human brain to support medical analysis of people with epilepsy.

6. Inno Plast Technologies Sp. z o.o. – The company conducts research on formulas for innovative plastic materials, including consumables for 3D printing technology, as well as their production and sale. It also modifies plastics to individual customer orders.

7. Pasteurization Technologies Sp. z o.o. – The company designs and manufactures equipment for food processing to extend its shelf life while maintaining as much nutritional value as possible.

8. Plast Compactor Sp. z o.o. – The company's business is aimed at recycling plastic waste and then selling semi-finished products. These will be obtained in an innovative linear agglomeration process, which will use a proprietary low-temperature homogenization procedure.

9. Ponyo Aerospace Sp. z o.o. – The company implements services using Intelligent Flying Machines – drones equipped with proprietary solutions for autonomous decision making.

10. Scabrosus Sp. z o.o. – Production of dietary fiber and feed based on a technology that allows the processing of production residues into high-quality fiber.

11. Sea Engineering Sp. z o.o. – The company develops and manufactures an underwater scooter with an innovative drive.

12. Seaquar Sp. z o.o. – The company manufactures professional remote monitoring systems for yachts.

13. Siccum Technology Sp. z o.o. – The company's main product is a compact device for preserving food by low-temperature drying.

14. Super Liquid Sp. z o.o. – Production and sale of expansion liquids. A solution involving the use of liquids with energy absorption and distribution properties in the automotive, sports and construction industries by combining the excellent barrier properties of liquids.

15. Swim Lead Sp. z o.o. – Production of innovative sports equipment supporting swimming training – a swimming trainer designed for professionals and amateurs.

Disadvantages of Polish originators:

• originators or teams of originators often lack the competences in all areas necessary for success, e.g. lack of sales, marketing or business development competences.
• Unwillingness to invest their own time in the development of the venture at an early stage of the company's life, when it is not yet generating revenue, which can be equivalent to the fund's financial investment commitment.
• Tendency to constantly improve the product, which significantly delays its market entry.

Advantages of Polish originators:

• Ease of adaptation to the changing market and the ability to listen to its trends.
• Willingness to enter foreign markets with a finished product and the ability to find their way around.
